Join our bus tour to explore the local Western Downs region, including Queensland Polocrosse Association’s owned and operated cattle property “MagicStone,” a local feedlot, and an Origin Energy gas production facility, finishing off with a classic Aussie lunch at the iconic Condamine Hotel. This tour will provide a rare and fascinating insight into the diverse and coexisting local industries that make the Western Downs region thrive.
Important Tour Information:
- Cost: Passengers will need to order and pay for their own lunch and drinks at Condamine Pub, bus tour is free of charge, limited numbers, bookings essential.
- This tour is presented by event sponsor Origin Energy as Upstream Operator for Australia Pacific LNG.
- Time: 8am for an 8.30am sharp departure, Monday 24 June.
- Returns to Chinchilla Polocrosse grounds approximately 2.30–3.00pm.
- Departure from Chinchilla Polocrosse Grounds,115 Racecourse Road,Chinchilla.
- Meet at the Chinchilla Polocrosse Club Office to show ticket and complete requirements to board the tour.

Children under 16 yrs must be accompanied by an adult.

Not recommended for young children under the age of 12.

Activity level: easy–mostly a driving tour.

Attendees attend at their own risk.

Attendees must take care when getting on/off the bus.

Tour duration: approx. 6-7 hours.

Please do not be late as the bus will leave at the designated time.

A small morning tea refreshment will be provided, attendees are encouraged to have breakfast prior to the tour. Specific dietary requirements can’t be catered for morning tea, dietary requirements for lunch should be requested on ordering at the Condamine Pub.

Tour accessibility: Not suitable for wheelchairs/walkers. Attendees must be able to board/exit the bus without assistance.

Clothing requirements: Flat closed in shoes covering toes and heels, long trousers and a long sleeve shirt with the sleeves rolled down.

Tours are in English.

A toilet is provided on the bus in case of emergency and there will be two designated toilet stops on the tour.
- By confirming this ticket you understand and agree with the below requirements: Chinchilla Polocrosse Association reserves the right to amend or cancel the tour at short notice should wet weather or an operational necessity arise. Should this occur, you will be notified via email and text message a minimum of 2 hours before tour registration.
- Prior to boarding the bus, each attendee is required to complete an Origin Energy COVID-19 and foot and mouth declaration form. Successful completion of this declaration is a requirement of entry on to the bus. Attendees may be required to wear a face mask during the tour dependent on Origin Energy Health and Safety requirements at the time of the tour.
- Due to health and safety requirements focused on the prevention of foot and mouth disease across our assets, if you have returned from Indonesia between 10-24 June 2024, you will be unable to attend the tour.
- A declaration prior to boarding the bus may be requested. Please note: If you do not meet the COVID-19, foot and mouth disease and clothing requirements, you may not attend the tour.
